Bintuni (vroeger: Steenkool) is een plaats in de Indonesische provincie Papua Barat op het eiland Nieuw-Guinea, het voormalige Nederlands-Nieuw-Guinea, gelegen op het zogenaamde Vogelkop-schiereiland. Bintuni is de hoofdplaats van het regentschap Teluk Bintuni
