Joyous Filipinos mingle with Americans on Leyte Beach. Threngs of Philippine civilians, half-starved, war-weary but joyous at being liberated from the Japanese, swarm from cellars and hills to welcome American and Filipine forces as they land on a beach near a bombtorn town.
