Liberated prisoners of wat at General Hospital, Jahore Bahru. A Digger meets Sister Betty Jeffrey of East Malvern, Victoria, and Sister Jean Greer of Petersham, Sydney, who were for 3½ years prisoners of war in Japanese hands in Sumatra. Most of the sisters were suffering from malnutrition, but were very cheerful. They are now patient in the hospital at Jahore Bahru, which holde 1,200 Dutch. NI 5942
